Workforce Development

With a population close to 540,000 people, the Dayton Region offers a large and skilled workforce for any potential business growth and development. The labor force numbers a little over 270,000 people with the population of those 16 years and older around 427,000. Businesses situated in Moraine may also access the labor force in the greater Dayton area, Cincinnati, and Columbus. The greatest number of employees works in fields of management and professional work. Fifty five percent of those 25 years and older have some college experience, an associate's degree, or a bachelor's degree. Twenty five percent of those 25 and over have at least a bachelor's degree. Access to higher education in the City of Moraine is readily available with opportunities on the community college and university levels. Institutions of higher education include Wright State University, University of Dayton, and Sinclair Community College.
